Thanks for your thoughts! I am a wee bit better. Daily s
Stretching helps, and following Diane's advice, and am trying to straighten out my gait. I've been fitted for shoes at PR Running and Marathon Sports - so I hope I am in the right shoe. Can PT help?
PS - I have Rheumatoid Arthritis, but my Dr. says it is definitely not an RA issue.

Kate,
Sorry I took so long to answer this but... Stretching is very important but being in the correct shoe is equally important. Strength in the calf is important as well. The other common reason for achilles tendon problems in runners are training errors. Shoot me an email if things are not straightening out. Good luck. ecardin@sc-pt.com

Thoughts on Achilles Tendonitis? My doctor says "stretch, stretch, stretch". Any thing else? Could my running shoes be adding to the problem? Thank you!
